We have been looking for a hi-def media player that was small enough to place on the back of HDTV panels that we use for digital signage. This little player delivers. Love that fact that it connects via HDMI which results in a great, high resolution image.

The Hi-Den HDMI Digital Photo Viewer is a small easy-to-use device that allows you to view your photos, watch videos, or listen to music right on your HDTV. Forget crowding around the computer. Sit back and relax on your couch while sharing your fave pics and vides with everyone. Show pictures on HDTV by inserting a memory card or USB drive. Play your favorite MP3 files through your tv, or watch slide shows from the last family reunion.
Assuming you have an HDMI television or a cable, you'll be able to easily set this up. It has an AC adapter, and a remote control! It allows you to browse, or choose what type of device to watch from. You can even adjust the resolution right from the remote... supporting up to a whopping 1080p!! That's about as good as it gets these days.

I came across this item as I was looking for an HD Media converter, something that I could plug in an external hard disk on one side, an HDMI cable on the other side, and watch movies. Every device I looked at had some positive reviews, some negative, and some neutral. Searching the internet, I found very few negative reviews on this device, and it seemed quite simple, so I chose to purchase it. Big mistake.
First I bought this device and accidentally switch the "TV Setting" to NTSC to PAL. Since I am in the US, my TV does not use PAL, so the device's menu just stopped displaying on my television screen. The device has no buttons, and I have no menu or user interface at this point, so I have no way to navigate back to where I previously was. I tried a factory reset, but that didn't work either. I returned the item the next day and got another.
At this point I was on my second device. I made sure not to change any of the tv settings. I got a disk, formatted it correctly (FAT32), and put a movie on it. The movie did not play.
I am going to return this device again, and will never buy another Hi-DenVision product again. I advice everyone else to do the same
